Introduction

Here it is.... a blog! Jumping the bandwagon a little late probably.

This page will be about all aspects of the international society, with a particular emphasis on geopolitics, international business and consumer trends, and globalisation. Nothing very original so far, but I do hope to explore the interactions between them, a topic that is often disregarded, since complex interactions between seemingly very different topics can be difficult to apprehend. On the other hand, there is no denying that international political attitudes are conditioned by economic factors, and vice-versa.
For example, the political relations between China and the U.S.A. depends largely on their economic and financial links, making the two countries interdependent.
Economic globalization has changed geopolitics, but consumer attitudes often evolve in different directions, since complex interactions are rarely explained clearly by political leaders to their constituencies. How many people in favor of imposing tarriffs on China realize that most of the items they use, from printing paper to their ipods come from the factories of China, at much lower prices than if they were manufactured nationally?

I will try to post on items related to recent news, but do not hesitate to comment or request something specific. I would be happy to discuss with you.

Lastly, I will post indifferently in french and in english, with a bias towards english since most of my friends qnd contact know the language, even as a 2nd language.
